The newest member of our elite Bay Creek Builders Guild is a long-time believer in the Bay Creek vision as well as one of the first property owners in the community.
Larry Hill, founder of L.R.Hill Custom Builders in Virginia Beach, still owns the lot he bought near the Bay Creek Marina shortly after the community’s founding in 1998, where he one day plans to build his own personal vacation getaway home.
Right now, however, he’s got bigger fish to fry in Bay Creek. He’s planning to break ground soon on The Club Townes at Bayside Village, featuring 20 three-story townhomes in Bayside Village, a short walk from the Beach Club & Fitness Center and the two-mile private beach on the Chesapeake Bay.
Exquisitely designed and luxuriously appointed, these residences feature three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, plus gourmet kitchens, bay windows, hardwood floors, open floorplans, porches on the first or second floor and detached two-car garage. Prices begin in the high $400s.
The Bay Creek townhomes are modeled after a similar product Hill built in East Beach, just across the bay.
Hill founded his company in 1984, and has built more than 2,000 homes in the Tidewater market since then. He’s a past president of the Tidewater Builders Association and a multiple winner of the Homerama People’s Choice Award and the Virginia Pilot’s Best Builder at the Beach Award.
“I’ve known the developer as long as I’ve been in the home building business,” he said, referring to Bay Creek’s legendary founder. “In fact, I recall sitting down with him and reviewing the master plan before the first shovel was turned in Bay Creek.”
“I’ve wanted to be involved ever since, but now all the construction activity and renewed sales momentum makes this the perfect time to get started with the Bay Creek building team,” he said.
