Guided Bird Walk spots 35 species

We had an excellent turnout on April 4th for the guided bird walk. Homeowners met at 8 a.m. for a walk around Plantation Pointe and the “William Scott Home” area of Bay Creek. It was a little breezier than we would have liked but it was an otherwise a great morning to be outside.

Here is the species list from the walk:

Thirty five is a respectable number for a ninety minute walk on a breezy day, but the spring migration peak is still several weeks away, so future walks could yield even higher totals.

The next walk for residents is scheduled for Thursday, April 26th at 7:30 a.m., meeting once again in the Golf Shop parking lot. There will be a special walk for active club members only on Saturday, April 14th.
